A two-day workshop on structure-preserving approximation of evolutive problems and applications
DISIM - University of L'Aquila, January 23-24, 2020
The workshop is focused on recent advances in numerical modeling for evolutionary problems (such as Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Stochastic Differential Equations, Geometric Numerical Integration) and relevant connections with related fields of Numerical Analysis. Talks are on invitation basis.
This event is organized within the activities of the the GNCS-INDAM 2019 project "Problemi di evoluzione e loro discretizzazione: questioni di stabilità lineare e non lineare" and the PRIN2017-MIUR project "Structure preserving approximation of evolutionary problems").

Travel informations
The easiest way to reach L'Aquila is by direct bus from Rome or Pescara.
For those traveling by plane, the closest airports are in Rome (Fiumicino and Ciampino Airports) and in Pescara (Aeroporto internazionale d'Abruzzo). An express coach service, directly connecting both Fiumicino and Ciampino Airports to L'Aquila, is available, operated by Gaspari. The trip takes about 2h15m from Fiumicino and 1h45m from Ciampino. For any detail about fares and schedules, please visit their website www.gasparionline.it/en . Tickets may be bougth online or directly on the bus. When in L'Aquila, Gaspari buses stop at Hotel Amiternum. From there, you can take any bus going to the hospital (walking distance from the workshop venue; you can buy the ticket on the bus) or a taxi (typically available at Hotel Amiternum. For those traveling by train, the most convenient solution is Rome Tiburtina train station. For people traveling on the East coast along the Adriatic sea, Giulianova and Pescara train stations are also an option. Buses from Rome Tiburtina, Giulianova and Pescara to L'Aquila are offered by several companies: TUA ( www.tuabruzzo.it ), FLIXBUS ( global.flixbus.com ) and GASPARI ( www.gasparionline.it/en )
For those traveling by car, the most convenient exit is "L'Aquila Ovest" (A24). Follow the road signs to the hospital.
