How to reach L'Aquila
L'Aquila, is a city in the centre of Italy, at about 110 Km east of Rome. The closest international airports are Fiumicino Airport (~150 km) and Ciampino Airport (~120 km).The easiest way to reach L'Aquila is by direct bus from Rome or Pescara.
The train service to L'Aquila is NOT RECOMMENDED since it takes a very long time and you have to change trains several times.
From Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airport: the best way is to get a bus to L'Aquila (just outside Arrivals of Terminal 3). The trip takes about 2h15m from Fiumicino and 1h45m from Ciampino.
