Travelling to L'Aquila
L'Aquila, is a city in the centre of Italy, at about 110 Km east of Rome. The closest international airports are Fiumicino Airport (~150 km) and Ciampino Airport (~120 km).
The easiest way to reach L'Aquila is by direct bus from Rome or Pescara.
The train service to L'Aquila is NOT RECOMMENDED since it takes a very long time and you have to change trains several times.
From Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airport: the best way is to get a bus to L'Aquila (just outside Arrivals of Terminal 3). The trip takes about 2h15m from Fiumicino and 1h45m from Ciampino. How to reach the Coppito Campus of the University of L'Aquila
From Hotel Amiternum The best way to reach Coppito Campus from Hotel Amiternum, is to get a taxi cab. Taxi cabs are normally available at the Hotel Amiternum. You can also call Radio-Taxi company (+39)086225165 (other info at www.radiotaxilaquila.it). This service is available every day from 07:00 to 00:30, additionally you can book a run after 00:30 if you call before 19:00. You can also reach the campus from Hotel Amiternum by bus (bus tickets available in the Hotel Amiternum Bar) with route 2U-4-6S/6D (AMA service) by getting off at "Ospedale/Università"
From Collemaggio Bus Terminal "Lorenzo Natali" Collemaggio Bus Terminal "Lorenzo Natali" is connected by bus to the University of L'Aquila Campus in Coppito via Route 1-1R-2U-3-3R-4-6S/6D-19 (AMA service) which stop at the "Ospedale/Università" bus stop.
